Competition - International Design Competition for the Magok Waterfront, Seoul

 

“The goal of the International Design Competition is to transform the area of Magok into a tourist, commerce, and environment friendly waterfront area, in line with Seoul’s “Han River Renaissance Project,” through the participation and input of various professionals and experts from Korea and abroad.

Magok is now the last large underdeveloped tract in Seoul, and there are high expectations for the future Waterfront in terms of its impact on the local economy, and on the city.

Due to Magok’s association with the Han River Renaissance Project, the participation domestic and international professionals and experts is considered vital.”

Registration deadline is January 31 2008. Submission deadline is June 5 2008.

Competition - World Space Creators Awards 2008

 

“The WORLD Space Creators Awards ask design professionals and students to envision a new concept in shop style, a venue conceived to promote “customer-to-shop interaction”. Winning designers to be commissioned to be part of a team to use their winning design in a project for real retail space development.

The WORLD Space Creators Awards are given through an open competition that aims not only to discover talented designers from around the world but also to realize their ideas by actually developing winning entries into an actual interior. Entrants can submit nearly any kind of concept that helps to define a shop interior, from overall interior design concept to various shop tools including window or interior displays, mannequins, logos and signs.”

Registration deadline is January 10 2008. Submission deadline is January 31 2008.
